چکیده
The urban heat island (UHI) is mostly due to urbanization. This phenomenon in concert with the high temperatures caused by global climate change may profoundly affect human thermal comfort, which can influence productivity and morbidity especially spring/summer period. main objective of this investigation was determine changes degree comfort Mexico City’s inhabitants compare it physiological equivalent temperature (PET) evaluate whether PET its categorization are adequate be applied City. A series microclimatological measurements estimate were made at four sites including city’s center. Concomitantly, a surveys perception 1300 passersby. results show that has increased from 1990 2020 0.1208 °C/year 0.1498 study sites, addition overestimating people according stablished categories or classes. It concluded necessary adjust stress categories. Knowing percentages without will lead us different ranges environmental parameters define an acceptable environment for most people.

متن کاملEvaluation of human thermal comfort using UTCI index: case study Khorasan Razavi, Iran
The Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) addresses these shortcomings by using an advanced thermo-physiological model. The aim of this study was to investigate and prepare zoning of thermal comfort condition using UTCI. Meteorological data including temperature, wind speed, cloudiness and relative humidity were obtained on a daily time scale from 10 synoptic stations during (2004-2013) period...
متن کاملDevelopment of outdoor thermal index indicating universal and separate effects on human thermal comfort.
The purpose of this study is to propose a new outdoor thermal index that simultaneously indicates universal and separate effects. The value indicating universal effect in this index consists of the summation of air temperature and the effective temperature differences by air velocity, longwave radiation, solar radiation, and humidity. This paper describes the theoretical construction of this ne...
متن کاملEcosystem Biomimicry: A way to achieve thermal comfort in architecture
The strategies to reduce the consumption of non-renewable energies in buildings are becoming increasingly important. In the meantime, nature-inspired approaches have emerged as a new strategy to achieve thermal comfort in the interiors. However, the use of these approaches in architecture and buildings requires a proper understanding regarding the features of ecosystems. Although acquiring this...

Underground railway systems, can generate heat from their operations to raise the temperatures of carriages and the station substantially. This may lead to passenger discomfort and complain especially in warm weather conditions that prevail in Tehran if underground environment is not cooled.
